About Passford House
Dating back to the 16th century, Passford House Hotel is steeped in history. It was formerly the home of Lord and Lady Arthur Cecil, Queen Victoria’s private secretary. The house lay by an old ford which used to be the main road between Lymington & Sway – hence “pass the ford”.
Surrounded by stunning natural scenery, Passford House Hotel is situated in the heart of the New Forest. From beautiful scenery to free roaming animals, cycle routes, fascinating history to scenic coastline, there’s something for everyone. You will be spoilt for choice with events and activities happening all year round.
With a wealth of facilities at our hotel, you will have everything you need during your stay with us. Stay occupied with activities such as swimming, tennis, or exploring our gardens.
With 9 acres of enchanting grounds to stroll and outdoor sports to partake in, you have the choice to relax or play at Passford House Hotel. We welcome you to venture into our sublime Monet Garden, Passford’s very own masterpiece, a unique feature of which we are very proud.

Standard rooms have the charm and cosiness of traditional country-style rooms, which helps to take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. All of the rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, TV and free WiFi throughout the hotel.

Superior Rooms
Standard rooms have the charm and cosiness of traditional country-style rooms, which helps to take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Although smaller than superior and four poster rooms, standard rooms are still spacious but snug.
