Founder BMB Holidays and Bernard Magee Bridge
Bernard Magee
Bernard Magee is the UK’s best-known bridge teacher and host, and has built up a tremendous following from his regular and highly popular articles in Bridge magazine. He is the author of best-selling interactive tutorial software and DVDs on Acol Bridge available from the Bernard Magee Bridge Shop. Bernard has also published numerous bridge books. Now he is engaged in running his new bridge website, basing the content around videos and live broadcasts. Bernard has been running bridge events for over twenty years; all over the UK, hotels all over Europe and cruises all over the world. He lives in Berkshire with his wife Helen and their son Alfie, who some of you may have met already as they occasionally accompany him on his events.

John & Rebecca Ronan
John and Becky live in the lovely Vale of Belvoir, have one daughter and two grown up grandchildren. They are both qualified EBU Directors with John also now directing on BBO. They have been playing bridge for over thirty years and enjoy both competitive and social bridge. Becky also plays for the county. John runs occasional teaching workshops for beginners and improvers for their local club. John retired after a long career as a Chartered Bio-medical Scientist working for the NHS. Since retirement he’s taken up golf again and is also a member of the Lions Club International. Becky worked as a graphic designer and since retiring volunteers for the National Trust, the local library and more recently as an administrator for their Covid vaccination centre. This, along with their allotment, takes up any spare time. John and Becky have been working with Bernard Magee Bridge since its inception, having previously been with the Mr Bridge team, and thoroughly enjoy being able to combine their passion for bridge with travel and the opportunity of meeting diverse and interesting people.

Steve Cave
Steve Cave was born and bred in Derby, where he has been playing bridge for fifty years, since his early twenties. He has represented Derbyshire in numerous events throughout that period. He taught bridge at night classes in Derbyshire schools and gained the Tournament Director accreditation in 2018, when he first became involved with Mr Bridge and then Bernard Magee Bridge holidays and cruises. Steve was a member of a team helping Bernard on a Balmoral cruise to Norway just prior to the Covid lockdown. More recently, he was back on the same ship, this time for the Cultural Capitals cruise.

Robin and Hilary Levett
Hilary and Robin Levett live near the coast in St Leonards-On-Sea close to their daughter and granddaughters. Hilary learnt to play bridge when she was 20. Robin, like many people, took it up when he retired early from his job as an IT manager in local government. Hilary spent her working life running a boarding cattery, animal rescue sanctuary and “puppy walked” guide dogs. They are both very active in several local bridge clubs, both as directors, teachers and scorers. Both are qualified EBU directors and also Hilary has completed the “short” EBU teachers’ course. They are also both involved every summer in the EBU Congress in Eastbourne. They enjoyed working extensively on Mr Bridge holidays for nine years and are now very excited to be continuing with BMB. Their aim is to host casual, relaxed and friendly bridge holidays.
